Paul Huttenhoff is the director of IT Security for CenterPoint Energy, a Fortune 500 company that includes electric transmission and distribution, natural gas distribution and energy services operations.
Huttenhoff joined CenterPoint Energy in March 2017. He has more than 25 years of Information Technology experience and has previously led IT security organizations for Amoco, Dynegy, Unocal, Chevron and Phillips 66. Huttenhoff also served as chairman of the American Petroleum Institute’s IT security subcommittee from 2005-2007 and has served on the API-ITSS executive committee from 2005-2017.
Huttenhoff earned his associate’s degree from St. Gregory’s College, a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Oklahoma and a master’s degree in computer science from Northern Illinois University. He has four grown children and six grandchildren, all in the Houston area.
Huttenhoff has volunteered for more than 25 years with the Boy Scouts of America, serving in a variety of unit, district and council leadership roles for the Sam Houston Area Council in Houston. He also has served on the executive board and as president of the Cherokee Area Council in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
